Meet the Pastor
Linda J. Kraft
Linda Jeane Belanger-Burse was born in Long Beach California. She graduated from Grand Island High School, Grand Island, Nebraska in 1968. She then went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Education from Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska, in 1973.
She married her college sweetheart, Karl Kraft, July 31, 1971, and they moved to Delano, California for her to teach and to begin their family. They have three children: Matthew, Kerrianne, and Kathryn.
Linda taught school for fifteen years. She has taught all grade levels, pre-school through adults, and all ability levels, from profoundly learning disabled through "talented and gifted."
Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, conferred the Master of Divinity degree upon Pastor in May, 1993. Her internship congregation was St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna, Minnesota. Following graduation, she served as unordained interim associate pastor at Hope Lutheran Church in Fresno, California, 1994-95. During the latter half of 1995, she served as visitation minister and confirmation teacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Easton, California.
Pastor Kraft was ordained January 14, 1996, at Hope Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bishop Juan Cobrda presiding. February 11, 1996, she was installed by Bishop Cobrda as pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, where she ministered with the people of God in that place for six years.
Then on January 27, 2002, Linda Kraft was called to minister with the people of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Trumbull, Connecticut. She started preaching here on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2002. She was officially installed as the pastor of Holy Trinity on April 14,2002.
